UltraLightClient '08 Promises Fast and Robust Way to Build Responsive Business Web Applications for Web Workers

JavaOne, San Francisco, May 6th 2008   Canoo announces that the upcoming release of its Rich Internet Application library, UltraLightClient, focuses on making the development and deployment of web applications faster and easier. A screencast tutorial shows how to build a master / detail web application from install to deployment within five minutes. A demo can be viewed at the company's JavaOne booth, 429.

New features in UltraLightClient '08 include:

  • easy project setup using a wizard for Eclipse
  • generating an end-to-end application skeleton from a predefined data structure
  • high-level component to simplify the development of forms
  • sortable ULC tables by default
  • data binding
  • easy and central configuration of application parameters and options such as look and feel and deployment
  • easy deployment

A screencast is provided at the product website, showing the new features that will be available in the next release. A milestone release is available for download. The final release is scheduled for end of June 2008 / beginning of July 2008.
